The Secret of Japanese Women! Why They Never Get Fat And Live The Longest.
In the last 25 years, Japanese women hold the first place as the longest living population on earth, according to statistics. Namely, in average, they live 84 or more years of age, and as it seems, they seldom gain weight.
Naomi Moriyama, in her book Japanese Women Don’t Get Old or Fat, unveils the secrets of the healthy lifestyle and long lifespan of Japanese women, by leading the readers into the world of her mother’s kitchen in Japan. According to her, foods which promote weight loss are part of the everyday Japanese cuisine and Japanese people consume them regularly.
For example, they include fish, veggies, green tea, seaweed, rice- foods rich in anti-aging properties that encourage healthy weight loss. In general, Japanese women eat cooked meals on a daily basis comprised of grilled fish, bowl of rice, cooked veggies, green tea, fruits, and soup. Did you know that the Japanese consume around 10% of all the fish in the world, although they make up 2% of the world population?
1. They Eat Simple, Healthy, And Nutritious Food.
Japanese cuisine is based on fish, soy, rice, fruits, vegetables and green tea. Instead of eating sweets as dessert, they prefer eating fresh fruits.
2. They Eat Small Portions.
Japanese people give more importance to the presentation of the food, and this is the reason they use delightful plates and bowls. Or maybe, they lean toward serving and eating in little parts. Each dish is served in a different plate or bowl. The dishes should never be filled to the brim, always should remain empty edge.
3. They Do Not Overcook Their Food.
They trust in light cooking through stewing, sauteing, steaming, speedy mix searing or container barbecuing while at the same time setting up the dishes. Additionally, they lean toward having light and crisp sustenances. This ensures they eat light, yet stomach-filling foods.
4. They Do Not Eat Bread.
The Japanese eat rice at each meal instead of bread. Such regular consumption of rice replaces cupcakes, loaves and white bread.
5. They Have A Healthy Breakfast.
They do not eat pancakes in the morning. You will not see on their tables and scrambled eggs with a bacon. Japanese people consider breakfast as the most important meal of the day.
